A TYPICAL DAY IN LOS ANGELES
Morning routines.. Breakfast.. Coffee time... Where to go? Where to work? bla bla bla..
I'm not going to write a typical blog for what I do in a typical day in LA because you know we like to hack routines and seize the day spontaneously. I will rather try to give you an idea of having the joy of seeing the bright sunshine early in the morning through the night.
Los Angeles has a special impact on me because the weather is so similar to where I was born, with the sun up in the sky, warmth and the "happy feeling" in my bones.
I wake up early and start with a 40-45 minutes walk&jog BUT not in Santa Monica, rather between the streets and avenues to feel the energy of people living in different neighborhoods and to sense those beautiful houses of LA! Since it is my favourite meal, I dream of what I'll have for the breakfast while walking&jogging as well as planning my day in terms of work flow. Another option to begin my day is a yoga session in Core Power Yoga (I'm in love with Yoga Sculpt classes) to boost my energy. Okay, now I'm home. I have one of the breakfast ideas of bowl, granola, eggs with bread and olives aside (we always have olives for the breakfast at home which is super healthy) or croissant with a cup of coffee (for sure) because the smell of coffee is a trigger of happiness. Actually it seems regular up to this point but small variations make a huge difference. And now the day begins.. It is like 9-9.30 in the morning and I have a long day to experience. I search a lot for new places, new coffee shops, new co-working environments and cafes to hang out with my laptop. I make a list then pick one randomly for that day to discover and fulfill my habit of curiosity and learning. If possible I walk towards that place because that way I can discover new streets and use parallel roads each time I cross the same path. I know it takes time but if it's a walking distance ( walking distance means 10-60 minutes for me ) I prefer so. I also observe people and their habits to make the best bag or have an idea of improving the design of our products. These might sound strange to a local but it's the way to live like a local and form that community of joyful and satisfied faces. As a founder and designer, it's my #1 goal to achieve.
When it comes to evening, the sunset is my cardio :) On the way home, I do the groceries which is another pleasure for me. I can spend an hour inside a grocery store just to get inspiration from different food and their packagings. Inspiration comes from ANYTHING!
So if you like my way of living a day, wait for the upcoming blog for BESTIES suggestions. Best Coffee? Best Pizza? Best Shops? Of course for me as a foreigner but acting like a local ...
Cheers!
